As a Community Halls Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Council’s network of Community Halls and the Caboolture Hub Learning and Business Centre remain welcoming, functioning and accessible to all.
You’ll provide a mix of administrative and operational support across two dynamic locations, with your primary base at the Caboolture Hub and intermittent work at Strathpine to meet operational requirements.
- Caboolture Hub, a hands-on, customer facing environment where you will be the first point of contact for visitors and oversee day-to-day venue activities
- Strathpine Community Services, Sport and Recreation Building, an administrative setting focused on coordination and stakeholder engagement
Your responsibilities will include:
- overseeing venue procedures at the Caboolture Hub, including opening/closing, room setup and cleaning/resetting for events (tasks will include manual handling)
- managing correspondence and customer requests relating to hall operations
- building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality customer service
- supporting service improvements
- navigating Council’s booking system and other resources
- assisting hirers with booking processes and general enquiries
- performing daily administrative tasks and financial processes
Work hours will vary between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

With strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail, you’ll have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and support both operational and customer-facing tasks. You’ll be comfortable navigating corporate systems, working collaboratively with others and maintaining a high standard of service across multiple venues.
Whilst not essential, experience with online booking systems, particularly Council’s Bookable program would be highly regarded.
