What do we offer?
- Multiple opportunities available - commencing 28 January 2026
- Full Time | 9 day fortnight
- 2 year graduate program with rotations every 6 months
- $79,563pa + 12% super (level 3 starting, progressing through to level 5 in annual increments)
- 72.5 hour fortnight | working Monday to Friday
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
- Location: our departments involved in this program are located at Strathpine, Caboolture and Narangba Depot... applicants to be willing and able to work from any of these locations.

About the program
Our two-year Graduate Program is designed to set you up for success by providing:
- Two years of structured experience – with four rotations every six months across a variety of teams and opportunities to build on your knowledge
- Hands-on projects – directly shaping one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions
- Mentoring and support – including a dedicated mentor, regular check-ins and access to technical experts
- Graduate cohort network – start alongside other grads with shared induction and ongoing development sessions
- Work/ life balance – Mon to Fri (yep... no weekends!) and a 9-day fortnight... we know a genuine work life balance is so important at any stage of your life and career.
Some of the areas you could be working in across our three Functional Groups - City Operations, City Futures and City Administration:
- Urban Planning – designing the future of our city through the review of development applications, engineering assessments, master planning, placemaking.
- Environment & Sustainability – biodiversity, climate action, land management, waste minimisation, green infrastructure, coastal planning, going green as we grow!
- Integrated Infrastructure – planning and shaping the spaces our community uses every day - parks, buildings, active transport, waterways, open spaces, road safety.
- Project Delivery – constructing key community infrastructure to meet the future needs of our growing community.
- Managing Assets - capturing and maintaining our existing facilities, parks, playgrounds, roads, drainage to optimise lifespan and usage.
So what are we looking for in our 2026 program team members...
- You will be a recent graduate... or on schedule to by Feb 2026 (good luck!)... and on the search for that opportunity that will set you up in your career in either Engineering or Planning.
- Engineering... could be a degree focused on civil, coastal, drainage, mechanical, environmental, structural, electrical, project management, and/or mechatronic.
- Planning... could be a focus on town planning, urban planning, urban design, urban development, architects, and/or transport planning.
- A positive attitude, reliable, motivated team player, excited by the opportunity to be working alongside professionals in the field you have studied.
