- $86,815 pa + 12% super + a commuter use vehicle (level 4)

Working within our newly created Plant Operations Supervisor position, you’ll take the lead in planning, coordinating and supervising internal plant resources across our construction crews. This pivotal role is all about maximising plant utilisation, driving cost effective outcomes, and ensuring our internal teams are equipped to deliver high quality civil infrastructure projects for Council.
You’ll be instrumental in supporting the delivery of civil construction works by optimising fleet and equipment allocation, fostering team capability, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Working closely with the internal construction team, your key responsibilities will include:
- providing leadership and day to day support to plant operations staff, while identifying upskilling opportunities to strengthen team capability
- allocating internal plant, fleet and equipment daily, ensuring resources are matched to the scope and complexity of each project
- proactively driving utilisation of internal plant resources, balancing project delivery and maintenance needs
- conducting regular site inspections to support crews and uphold safety and quality standards
- building strong relationships across internal stakeholders and offering operational support to the broader construction team where required

About you
Ideally your application will have demonstrated:
- proven experience in leading teams, particularly within plant operations
- well developed knowledge and experience in the appropriate use and allocation of construction plant, including graders, backhoes, excavators, rollers and water trucks
- proficiency in using a range of technology applications and systems
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
In addition to the above, you must also hold a current C class drivers licence and a Construction Induction Card.
