This is your opportunity to lead culturally informed planning and development across the region (Aboriginal and Historic). In this role, you’ll contribute to meaningful work that honours the region’s diverse cultural heritage and strengthens community connections. You will also:
- Lead the development and delivery of initiatives to protect and conserve Aboriginal and historic cultural heritage
- Provide strategic advice and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and planning frameworks
- Build respectful relationships with Traditional Custodians and stakeholders
- Act as a key contact for cultural heritage matters (Aboriginal and Historic)
- Coordinate internal training, and site assessments to support culturally informed planning and development

About you
You’ll bring a strong foundation of knowledge and practical experience in cultural heritage planning. Your understanding of legislative frameworks and your ability to build respectful relationships will enable you to contribute meaningfully to culturally informed decision-making and inclusive project outcomes. We’re seeking candidates who have:
- Sound knowledge of cultural heritage legislation and planning frameworks, including compliance and best practice in government contexts
- Demonstrated experience engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders in culturally respectful ways
