  • 36 hour fortnight.

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Local History Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As part of our Cultural Services Department, you’ll play a key role in managing and promoting local history across our vibrant network of libraries, galleries and museums. You will also:

  • Manage engaging, accessible history collections, programs, and services across Council’s Museum and Library networks
  • Develop and care for the local history collection, including digitisation, conservation, accessibility, and disaster preparedness
  • Deliver programs and projects that showcase the region’s heritage and connect with the community
  • Provide expert advice on history matters to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors
  • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture within Heritage and Museums

The Cultural Services Department, includes Galleries, Museums, Libraries, Heritage and Arts and Cultural Activation. With 10 libraries, 3 museums, and 3 galleries across the city…from Albany Creek to Woodford, we’re proud to offer vibrant, community-focused spaces that inspire learning, creativity and connection.

This is a job share role with responsibilities focused on collaboration and influence, rather than direct staff management.
