The Details:

  • Permanent Full Time| 9 day fortnight
  • $72,598pa + 12% super (level 6)
  • Any 5 in 7 (weekends for events) 
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Morayfield (MSEC) 

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Venue Maintenance Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As our Venue Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the preparation, maintenance and presentation of the buildings, grounds and equipment of the Morayfield Sport and Events Centre (MSEC). This includes maintaining a high standard of presentation of the MSEC facilities by undertaking daily cleaning and general reactive and proactive maintenance tasks.

Bring the MSEC experience to life by keeping facilities spotless, events seamless, and equipment humming! From hands-on maintenance to behind-the-scenes planning, this role keeps the action flowing and the venue shining.

Maintain MSEC facilities at a high standard of presentation including the cleanliness, functionality and maintenance of courts, the multipurpose area, grandstands, amenities, outdoor areas and kiosk. This would include performing minor equipment repairs and scheduled maintenance. 

You will have the opportunity to assist in the facilitation of events - we are all one big team!

About you

We are seeking someone who has experience in building or venue maintenance requirements and activities, including cleaning duties, using tools and maintenance equipment and performing minor facility and equipment repairs. You will maintain MSEC with smart fixes, clear clean spaces, safe practices and support events through careful prep, gear checks, and team safety training. 

You will be confident to work autonomously and maintain working relationships with members of the public and team members. Team culture is really important to us and we are excited to hear how our new team member will contribute to that in a positive and meaningful way. 

You will have: 

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Working with Children Blue Card
  • Current RSA or ability to obtain
  • Test and Tag certification
  • Working at heights certificate
