The Details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight 
  • $99,136 to  $125,340 + 12% super (level 5 to 7) 
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days
  • Location: Strathpine

About the role 

As a Project Manager in the Project Development and Delivery team you'll be managing a complex portfolio of multi-facet asset class projects including administration, supervision and management of contracts from procurement to defects liability and maintenance periods. You'll also:

  • Manage the approvals process and ability to secure approvals with minimal guidance
  • Undertake complex planning and investigation of projects and generate technical reports for consideration by management.
  • Provide specialist engineering advice and ensure engineering works are comply with legislation, Australian standards, Workplace Health and Safety requirements 
  • Manage the infrastructure design process including coordination and management of consultants
  • Resolve complex construction issues 
    Assess, recommend and reject progressive payment certificate claims made by contractors
  • Ensure engineering works are undertaken safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and workplace health and safety requirements.

About you

We're looking for Project Managers with experience managing complex construction projects such as sporting facilities, road, stormwater, fields, clubhouse buildings and community buildings and bridge structures, and strong knowledge of current construction legislation, Australian standards, Workplace Health and Safety requirements. You can bring your:

  • Experience providing specialist engineering advice on project related matters and the ability to present complex engineering solutions
  • Knowledge and applied understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate planning concepts and matters in a simple and concise manner
  • Construction Induction Card competency (or willing to obtain)
  • Current C class driver’s licence (required).
