As our Project Officer - Transport Infrastructure you will provide technical advice and project support into the planning and design of complete streets and transport network management to achieve best practice integrated transport and place making outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to;
- undertake site investigations, develop and prepare plans from concept level to detailed design for capital works projects including missing pathway and active transport links, and urban space activation and safety improvements
- assist with the implementation of integrated transport initiatives consistent with Council’s strategic transport policies.
- develop and maintain external stakeholder relationships particularly with the Queensland State Government to achieve integrated transport outcomes.
- respond to allocated customer service requests in a timely manner ensuring that customer responses are well drafted and consistent with good community outcomes.

About you
We are seeking someone who has strong technical capability in integrated transport engineering and design, and enjoys working within a close‑knit, collaborative team. You will have the opportunity to apply specialist expertise while contributing to high‑quality infrastructure outcomes.
You will have the;
- demonstrated expertise in integrated transport engineering, planning, and design, including the application of Australian Standards and public‑realm design guidelines
- strong investigative, analytical, and research capabilities, delivering evidence‑based transport, infrastructure, and land‑use solutions
- ability to provide clear, accurate technical advice and produce well‑structured reports and presentations for varied audiences
- proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software, applied to detailed transport and infrastructure projects
- effective time management and technical communication skills, contributing to project delivery within a supportive, professional team
You will hold a diploma in civil engineering, transport engineering/planning, construction management, or equivalent industry experience as well as a General Induction Licence (White Card) and a C Class Driver’s Licence.
