Join City of Moreton Bay in this key leadership role within our newly established Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) and help deliver projects that shape and enhance our communities - today and into the future.
We’re looking for an experienced ePMO Project Specialist to join and play a pivotal role in shaping project management excellence across council. This position is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of key processes, tools, and artefacts for the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO).
You’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing frameworks, processes, and tools that enable consistent, high-quality project delivery. Beyond the initial establishment phase, you’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with Council’s strategic objectives and fostering a culture of excellence in project management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and implementation of ePMO frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Creating templates, tools, and reporting mechanisms for project governance.
- Providing specialist advice and support to project managers and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with Council’s project management standards and conducting audits.
- Preparing dashboards, status reports, and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Driving continuous improvement and uplifting project management capability across Council.
About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for improving project management practices. You thrive in complex environments and can influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Considerable experience in project coordination or support within a complex organisation.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating projects in large or multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex project data and provide actionable insights.
- Knowledge of performance reporting frameworks and delivery assurance models.
- Proven ability to prepare and present high-quality reports and dashboards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Power BI).
