As our Utilities Technical Support Officer you'll be investigating and assessing the impact of utility defects within council road reserves, parks, open spaces and facilities and working with utility providers to provide and maintain a safe and reliable network for our community.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assisting with assessing and approving minor applications from utility providers seeking access to Council land, including electricity, internet, water and other essential services
- Providing advice and responding to utility providers and relevant authorities regarding utility related defects and reinstatement requirements
- Undertaking site inspections to assess defects and ensure Council assets have been reinstated to the agreed condition
- Supporting senior team members to ensure quality delivery and implementation of utility projects impacting Council road reserves, parks, open spaces and facilities
- Assessing relevant applications and referrals on behalf of the Civil Services department to ensure alignment with Council standards and asset management objectives

About you
Ideally you'll have a background in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the stages of project delivery within a civil infrastructure environment. You’ll bring solid written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and confidence using computers, software and digital tools to support your work. Along with this, you will have:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction, Project Management, or another relevant field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) competency.
- Current C Class driver’s licence.
