The Details:
- Maximum Term Full Time | 9 day fortnight
- This is a Parental Leave relief role and the anticipated appointment will be until March 2026
- $83,541 pa + 12% super (level 3)
- 72.5 hour fortnight

Support the effective allocation, management and technical operation of Council’s plant, fleet and equipment by working as our Plant Allocation and Fleet Technical Support Officer. This role is central to maintaining fleet operational continuity across Operations, Construction and Waste teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocation of internal and external plant, fleet and equipment daily, ensuring suitability for intended purposes
- Acting as the contact point for plant allocation and external contractor hire, providing advice and guidance where required
- Coordinating onsite fuel requirements for plant, fleet, and equipment, ensuring accurate bookings
- Managing bookings for the daily float, tilt tray shifts and variable message signage (VMS) boards, including monitoring and organising VMS servicing
- Overseeing Fleet Telematics systems, including installation, repairs, deinstallations and maintenance of GPS monitoring assets
- Collecting, collating and preparing reports using telematics data
- Undertaking administrative and technical processes to support internal fleet management
- Working closely with Fleet Services team members to resolve and manage maintenance matters
- Assisting with the development of procedures, policies, reports and directives to ensure compliance with legislation and standards
- Participation in Council’s After Hours On-Call and Programmed Overtime Roster service

About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Demonstrated well developed experience in the utilisation of vehicle telematics and relevant reporting
- Knowledge of day to day operations of Fleet Assets, supporting Heavy and Light Fleet/Small Plant service outcomes.
- Demonstrated eperience in using technology applications and systems
- Ability to undertake a range of transactional financial practices and processes relating to asset procurement and disposal
Licences and Qualifications:
- Current C Class driver’s licence (HR licence desirable)
- Construction Induction card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or relevant field (desirable, paired with experience above)
