Join one of Queensland’s fastest‑growing councils and help shape the digital systems that support our community every day. We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Applications Manager to lead the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of Council’s enterprise applications.

Overseeing a team of 18 specialists, and reporting into the Manager ICT Operations, this is a key leadership role where you’ll drive optimisation, uplift capability, and ensure our application ecosystem continues to evolve with organisational needs.

As the Enterprise Applications Manager, you’ll oversee a portfolio of critical enterprise applications, including ERP, GIS, and EDRMS to ensure they effectively enable Council’s business processes.

You’ll lead a skilled team of analysts, system administrators, and support specialists, fostering a high‑performance and collaborative culture. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll ensure applications are secure, reliable, integrated, and continuously improving.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi‑disciplinary applications team.
  • Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and migrations while minimising operational disruption.
  • Ensure applications are secure, compliant, optimised, and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Partner with internal departments to understand business needs and deliver effective technology solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, performance, and service delivery.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for application performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, roadmaps, budgets, reporting, and policy development.
  • Support risk management, audits, and security assessments across the applications environment.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience managing complex enterprise applications and supporting technical environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and support a high‑performing team.
  • Solid understanding of ERP, M365, GIS, and other enterprise systems, ideally in a local government context.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, integrations, and modernising application environments.
  • Confidence managing vendors, contracts, and service performance.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to support change across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A proactive approach to risk, security, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to drive efficiencies and better user experiences.
