The Details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $123,000 pa + 12% super (level 7)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Principal Active Transport Planner, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As our Principal Active Transport Planner, you will provide expert leadership in the planning and prioritisation of active and micromobility initiatives across the region. Working with diverse stakeholders, you will develop evidence-based solutions that enhance connectivity, safety and sustainable transport outcomes for the community.
 
You will have the opportunity to; 
  • develop and manage active transport programs, project priorities and future investment pipelines
  • prepare high-quality technical reports, business cases and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making
  • build strong partnerships across Council, government agencies, consultants and the community to deliver integrated transport outcomes
  • foster a collaborative, high-performing and customer-focused team culture.

About you

We are seeking someone who has significant experience in active transport planning and a passion for delivering safe, connected and sustainable walking and cycling networks. You'll bring strong stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking skills to help shape future transport outcomes for the City of Moreton Bay.
 
You will have; 
  • knowledge of contemporary transport planning principles, standards, legislation, and industry best practice
  • demonstrated expertise in project identification, prioritisation, scoping, and program management.
  • proven ability to prepare and present complex technical reports, recommendations and proposals.
  • excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • a degree in a relevant field such as Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, or Traffic and Transport
  • C Class Drivers Licence
