City of Moreton Bay is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Accountants to join our Financial Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your technical accounting skills, gain exposure to a broad range of financial activities, and work alongside experienced finance professionals who will support your career growth.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
• A recent graduate or has up to a couple years of accounting experience
• Passionate about building a career in finance and accounting
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn
• Strong with numbers and attentive to detail
• An effective communicator who enjoys working with people
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Committed to delivering high-quality customer service and outcomes

Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations or stakeholder support will be highly regarded, but we welcome applicants looking to take the next step in their accounting career.

What You'll Be Doing

Working within our Financial Services team, you'll:

• Provide financial advice and support to internal stakeholders
• Assist with financial reporting and annual financial statements
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Support taxation compliance and treasury functions
• Analyse financial information to inform business decisions
• Build strong relationships across the organisation
• Help drive continuous improvement and best-practice financial outcomes
