About our opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a leader to join our Investigations Team at Caboolture.

Leading a team of 7 Investigations Officers, you will drive, coach and develop our passionate team who are focused on providing an exceptional service to our community. Additionally, you will provide specialist advice and support to officers regarding statutory investigations that relate to dog attacks, vegetation clearing and illegal dumping.

Reporting to the Investigations and Audits Coordinator, you will focus on managing and coordinating the timely completion of various investigations, directly undertaking investigations as required.

The is a pivotal role in leading, delivering and adhering to investigation practices, as well as overseeing the preparation of comprehensive investigation reports and documentation to support prosecution proceedings. A key part of this role will be to appear as a witness and support officers representing Council at Court, Tribunals and other hearings as required.

As a natural communicator you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders and team members.

You will be a confident and positive leader, with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, standards and policies. Your experience in the conduct of statutory investigations will be key to your success in this position.
