    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the EBA5
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Dayboro 

About our opportunity

This position will have you working alongside your crew leader to deliver operational maintenance on Council's infrastructure. More specifically, you will be carrying out general maintenance on our civil and transport infrastructure to maintain your dedicated run area ensuring it remains tidy and free of any safety hazards. This will include things like replacing signs, fixing various road defects, fixing pathway and kerb and channel defects, traffic island defects and other general labouring duties and infrastructure/areas as required.

About you

Ideally you will have demonstrated similar relevant experience maintaining or working with similar infrastructure and/or carrying out similar duties. You will bring your excellent communication skills, experience undertaking manual operational tasks in a safety conscious environment and your ability to adapt to a range of technology solutions. Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.

Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum medium rigid - MR) and a Construction Induction card.
