About our opportunity

We have exciting and rewarding part time opportunity for a Venue Support Officer to join our team at the Pine Rivers Art Gallery. 

The gallery presents an immersive and engaging exhibition program centred around an annual theme. Through collaborations with local and national artists visitors will encounter art experiences that spark curiosity and creativity.

Visitors of all ages can extend their exhibition experience in the gallery’s dedicated engagement space. Throughout the year, a diverse range of events and activities are presented, from hands on artist-led workshops to family-friendly school holiday programs.

As a Venue Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for our visitors and responsible for providing them with memorable and positive experience. You will:

  • use your exceptional customer service skills to invite, engage and connect visitors to our exhibitions
  • deliver and support gallery programs and events as well as supporting the operations of the gallery to
  • actively contribute to a positive team environment, with the opportunity to assist with the installation and de-installation of exhibitions.

The position will be rostered a minimum of 17 hours per week and include working Saturdays. Download File Click here to view the roster. This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours.

About you

Bring your love of face-to-face customer service in a fast-paced environment, and experience within cultural services or at a cultural facility or venue including museums, galleries and libraries.

Share your natural curiosity and intuition that lets you build relationships with a diverse audience, and your respectful and friendly work style that allows you to work autonomously and also thrive in a collaborative team.

It is a requirement of this role, for applicants to hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card. Having a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate is desirable.
