The details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight 
  • $68,586 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + super (level 4) 
  • Great news - EBA6 currently is underway, with a proposed increase of 5% effective 1 July 2025
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Burpengary Depot (please note, this position will be moving to our Narangba Depot location in the coming months) 

Step into a hands on role where your skills make a visible impact on the city's infrastructure. As a Concrete Finisher with City of Moreton Bay, you’ll contribute to the construction, upkeep and integrity of key public assets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out concrete works, repairs and general labouring duties across various projects
  • Working efficiently as part of a crew and independently, maintaining high standards of workmanship
  • Representing Council with professionalism in interactions with colleagues and the community
  • Assisting different teams across the region to deliver reliable, consistent services
  • Inspecting and maintaining civil infrastructure to ensure safety and durability
  • Following all safety procedures, and properly using and caring for gear and equipment - including PPE

About you

We're seeking a skilled concreter with proven experience in placing, levelling and finishing different types of concrete to outlined specifications. If you're confident with the tools of the trade and know how to lay it down right, we’d love to have you on our team.

What we’re looking for:

  • Solid working knowledge of concrete practices and the strength to handle physically demanding tasks safely
  • Hands on experience in labour intensive roles, ideally in a construction or maintenance setting
  • A clear communicator who works well in a crew and gets the job done

To hit the ground running, you’ll need to hold: 

  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence or higher
  • A Construction Induction Card (White Card)
