  • $106,974 pa + 12% super (level 6)
    Great news - EBA6 currently is underway, with a proposed increase of 5% remuneration effective 1 July 2025
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Location: Narangba

About our opportunity

Our Waste Services Contracts team support more than 50,000 curb side collections a day across our region, and as a senior member of the team, you'll be leading end to end procurement and contract management activities through procurement, contract creation, execution and mobilisation for operational readiness. You'll also:

  • Prepare high quality reports, briefing notes, submissions and other documents to support decision makers
  • Undertake market analysis, business cases, procurement strategy plans and other procurement and contract establishment activities
  • Identify and address internal contract specification issues, to manage Council’s financial and operational risk
  • Oversee assigned contract management and administration projects.

About you

We're looking for your experience in waste and recycling contracts development and administration, and ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, industry codes and national standards. You'll also bring:

  • Experience in procurement analytics, including value creation and opportunity analysis
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to evaluate and balance to determine effective procurement strategies and deliver optimal value for money
  • Highly developed communication capabilities across all channels and across a range of stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contract management principles and experience overseeing contract performance and compliance
  • Experience in end to end procurement processes, including tendering and lifecycle contract management processes.
