The Details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight 
  • $86,815 pa + 12% super (level 4)
    Great news - EBA6 is currently in the final stages, with a proposed remuneration increase of 5% on the above rate
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Narangba

This position will have you playing a key role in supporting our internal construction team. You will be delivering technical guidance throughout the preconstruction, construction and post-construction phases, ensuring the successful execution of civil construction projects with a focus on roads and stormwater.

Your contributions to the effective and efficient delivery of infrastructure projects will include: 

  • Developing effective and detail preconstruction documentation
  • Undertaking project management tasks relevant to the delivery of construction projects, including reviewing and developing project scopes, cost estimation, constructability considerations, contract documentation, specifications, procurement, traffic guidance schemes, environmental issues and safety & quality
  • Undertaking end to end functions associated with project tender and project procurement processes and practices in the purchase of services and materials for all construction projects
  • Periodic site inspections to ensure compliance of works in accordance with Council’s inspection test plan, specifications and standards and identify on site issues such as safety, constructability or practicality matters

Additionally, you will be responsible for proactively engaging and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless project delivery.

About you

You’ll bring knowledge of construction materials, specifications, standards, and relevant legislation - essential for achieving successful project outcomes... along with a positive, team-oriented approach.

We’re also looking for:

  • Systems experience - someone with confidence in using industry specific estimating and project management software. Our team uses Microsoft Project.
  • Interpersonal Skills - a strong communicator with the ability to translate technical requirements for a range of stakeholders
  • Time Management - proven ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities across a range of projects
  • Licensing and Certification - a current driver’s licence and a Construction Induction Card

Mandatory role requirements include: 

  • a current driver's licence (minimum C class)
  • a construction induction card

A relevant qualification or significant industry experience is highly desirable.
