  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Procurement Lead and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing team of Procurement Officers, delivering expert advice and strategic support to drive effective, consistent, and cost-efficient procurement outcomes across Council.

As the Procurement Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping procurement practices, ensuring compliance with legislation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus. You’ll oversee the delivery of procurement services, manage and mentor staff, and build strong relationships with stakeholders to inspire trust and confidence in Council’s procurement processes.

In this role, you will be:

  • Leading a dynamic team to deliver timely, high-quality procurement services.
  • Driving best practice through the development and implementation of procurement frameworks, systems, and processes.
  • Providing expert advice on procurement strategy, governance, and compliance.
  • Managing corporate supply contracts and panel supplier arrangements.
  • Delivering training and mentoring to build procurement capability across Council.
  • Ensuring procurement activities align with the Queensland Local Government Act 2009 and Local Government Regulation 2012.

  • Has proven experience leading high-performing teams in a complex environment.
  • Brings strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Possesses deep knowledge of procurement systems and legislation, ideally within a local government context.
  • Is confident in providing specialist advice and operational support across finance and procurement platforms.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and customer service.
  • A comprehensive understanding of procurement legislation under the Queensland Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulation 2012 is highly desirable.
