  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

As a Senior Technical Officer Transport Management will provide specialist advice and act as the primary contact within the City of Moreton Bay Council relation to traffic management plans and over-size over-mass vehicle permits in addition to investigating and responding to customer service requests.

About you

We are seeking an experienced transport and traffic planning professional with expertise in coordinating traffic management planning, approvals, and oversight of complex vehicle movements.
 
You will have;
  • a strong grasp of legislation, policy frameworks and industry standards, you excel at providing high‑level technical advice to support safe, efficient and compliant transport outcomes.
  • well practiced at interpreting complex technical reports, managing competing priorities and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders ensures you consistently deliver high‑quality assessments within required timeframes.
  • bring a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills and a commitment to best‑practice transport planning and traffic management design.
 
You will have a degree in transport planning, civil engineering, equivalent qualifications, or significant relevant industry experience. Hold a current Open Certificate in Traffic Management Design.
