About the role
As our Principal Organisational Development Partner, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide organisational development initiatives that lift capability, embed culture and support long-term organisational performance.
Reporting to the Manager Organisational Development, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of Council-wide OD strategy and programs
- Partner with senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into impactful people solutions
- Drive large-scale initiatives across workforce planning, engagement, recognition and capability uplift
- Lead and develop a small team to deliver high-quality organisational outcomes
- Embed contemporary change management practices and behavioural insights
- Shape and sustain initiatives aligned to our new values and employee value proposition
This is a highly visible role that sits at the centre of how Council evolves its leadership capability and organisational culture.

What you will bring
You are a strategic and commercially minded OD leader who is comfortable operating at both enterprise and delivery levels.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience leading large-scale organisational development initiatives in complex environments
- Proven success delivering programs such as workforce planning, engagement and capability uplift
- Strong ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
- Experience leading teams and building high-performing OD capability
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate insight into action
- A passion for shaping organisational culture and improving workforce outcomes
