The details:

  • Permanent Full Time
  • $65,365 pa (includes industry and uniform allowances) + super (up to 12%) + leave loading 
  • Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of EBA5
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 76 hour fortnight | 6:30am - 3:30pm 
  • Home Depot Locations: Caboolture, Burpengary and Petrie (multiple positions) - both the Petrie and Burpengary depots are moving to a Narangba location in 2024. Please note - whilst these positions have dedicated home depot locations, the work will be based across various sites within the area.

About our opportunity

This position will have you working with our internal construction team to support Council's project delivery by performing civil duties on various construction and maintenance projects such as general labouring duties, safely using and maintaining any equipment provided and building good working relationships across the internal construction unit as well as other City of Moreton Bay team members and the public.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in a range of civil construction activities with a focus on general labourer tasks, ability to communicate and engage constructively with a variety of people and ability to learn and adapt to changes within the workplace (such as working at differing sites or technology enhancements relative to the role) 

Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.

Paired with the above-mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum MR) and a Construction Induction card.
