  • $76,873 - $91,222 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 3 - 5 of EBA5
    The appointed wage level will be dependent upon the successful candidates level of experience, skills and qualifications.
  • 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Location: Caboolture

About our opportunity

We have two exciting opportunities for Environmental Health Officer’s to join our growing team at Caboolture!

Reporting directly to the Team Leader Environmental Health, you will be responsible for effectively delivering public and environmental health programs by undertaking investigations, assessments and providing professional advice and quality customer service.

This includes the following key activities:

  • identifying, investigating and reporting on matters relating to state government legislation, local laws and subordinate local laws relevant to food safety, environment, public health risks, noise and nuisance
  • undertaking routine monitoring of licensable businesses under State legislation and local laws
  • assessing and administering applications for licences, approvals, renewals and transfers

To deliver quality service, you will interact, educate and liaise in a professional, courteous manner with members of the public, the private sector, local, state or federal governments, other Council staff and Councillors in providing specialist advice.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in an on-call roster.

About You

With a passion for environmental health, you will bring your knowledge and experience to investigate, analyse and research a range of regulatory matters across our growing region. 

As a natural communicator, you will possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills.

In addition, you will have the ability to interpret data obtained from a range of technical equipment, with the ability to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a degree or post graduate qualification in Environmental Health.
