Join City of Moreton Bay as a Team Leader within our Sport and Recreation branch, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
Leading a team of four, you will provide guidance and support on community, sport and recreation services, facilities, issues and needs. Additionally, you will:
- Engage with community organisations to support governance & facility management
- Provide strong leadership & fostering a positive team culture
- Identify opportunities to renew or develop new facilities to meet changing community needs.
- Build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
- Participate in system, policy and process improvement initiatives
- Contribute to the development of master plans, concept plans & detailed designs for infrastructure
- Contribute towards the development and review of annual budgets, operational plans and other business planning activities

Sport and Recreation
Our Sport and Recreation Branch aims to collaborate with the community to develop sustainable organisations, facilities and services that support healthy and active lifestyles for residents and visitors to the Moreton Bay Region.
This is achieved through the delivery of services to the local community and organisations that build connection and provide active and healthy lifestyle opportunities and the delivery of recreation programs.
About you
We are seeking an innovative team leader with exceptional community engagement, project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.
With your passion for quality customer service, you’ll possess highly developed people and relationship skills with the ability to motivate at all levels of the organisation. You will also possess:
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Experience in the development and implementation of complex community engagement strategies with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to forge and maintain collaborative partnerships
- A tertiary qualification in the social sciences, sports management, business, or other relevant field
