Join City of Moreton Bay as an Project Engineer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
As a a Project Engineer you will be a part of our team that is delivering building and facilities projects. You will provide specific project management lifecycle advice and ensure compliance on contract construction projects to support contract delivery including the surveillance of the construction process in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and regulations.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of construction and development projects.
These include new building construction such as community facilities, sporting clubhouses, public amenities, and aquatic centres, as well as refurbishment and rectification works. You may also be involved in site remediation activities linked to building projects, the erection of ancillary buildings and structures, and the design phase of projects delivered under Design and Construct contracts.
Additionally, the scope extends to external works, including car parking, landscaping, and associated infrastructure.
You will have the opportunity to;
- be responsible for the delivery of low to medium complexity infrastructure projects under the guidance of more senior staff
- support through whole of project life including design, procurement and delivery whilst ensuring adherence to time cost quality and safety objectives
- review and audit engineering drawings and technical specifications for construction projects to ensure compliance with business and project requirements.

About you
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Project Engineer with proven experience in building and facilities projects to support the successful delivery of a diverse capital works program. Working client‑side, you will coordinate design inputs, manage contractors, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with scope, quality, and safety requirements.
You will have:
- experience in building construction
- services coordination
- the ability to communicate confidently with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to keep projects moving efficiently
- facilities‑based project delivery is highly desirable
You will have a degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or project management. You will hold a current C class driver’s licence and Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years.
