The role

Your responsibilities will include reviewing corporate policies and procedures and ensure that they are complied with and ensuring all operational guidelines comply with all relevant regulatory and Council policies on information and security, industrial relations, workplace health and safety and any other legislation applicable to the Department. You will build business acumen by leading and/or contributing to identified projects to support the achievements of the Departments Strategic and Operational objectives. Along with providing professional support, expert advice and assistance in relation to business issues, initiative and proposals to contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives, while recognising, respecting and maintaining full confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must possess a Bachelor Degree in business and /or similar disciplines or demonstrated learning in a Customer Response workplace along with Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent demonstrated experience. As well as extensive knowledge of relevant legislation (including Local Laws and State Legislation) regulations, standards, and policies including highly developed skills to conduct research and to be innovative in preparing strategic documents, while meeting the needs of the Local Government environment.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
