Development Services

Development Services is shaping a better Moreton Bay by assessing and managing the effects of development on the community and environment of Moreton Bay, working in partnership with the development industry to design and construct infrastructure for the community as well as levying and recovering infrastructure charges to fund new and upgraded major community infrastructure.

About the Opportunity:

Due to the growth of the region and some wonderful internal promotion we are looking for some fantastic new Business Support Officers for our Development Services team.  

As a Business Support Officer, you will provide specialist administrative support to departmental teams, prepare incoming and outgoing correspondence, assist with customer enquiries and Technology One processes including tracking and resolution as appropriate.

In addition, you’ll:

  • provide support to Development Services assisting to ensure compliance with all legalisation, approved standards, policy and procedures relating to best practice and process 
  • develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • assist in the review and update of resources including template letters, forms and customer service reference information
  • maintain accurate and reliable database information through excellent data hygiene practices and reporting 

About you:

We are seeking some who holds a Certificate II in Business Administration or equivalent experience, with high attention to detail, excellent time management skills as well as the ability to prioritise workloads across a busy department. 

You will:  

  • have the ability in the review, monitoring and continuous improvement of processes, procedures and practices as they relate to a diverse business environment
  • proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to develop proficiency with council’s corporate systems.
  • well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills 

The Details

Term: Permanent / Full Time 

Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 2 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement

Location: Caboolture

  • $65,262 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • 9 day fortnight
