Our Customer Service Team sit within our Customer Response department which is made up of the Local Laws Branch, Public Health & Permits Branch and Customer Services streams and provides front line service to deliver a high standard of positive and proactive service experiences.

As a Customer Service Officer with the Moreton Bay Regional Council Team, you will be an ambassador of our organisation, providing exemplary Customer Service via one of our multiple customer enquiry channels.
You’ll provide our customers with positive service experiences through quality and efficient responses to their enquiries. You’ll be trained to possess and access answers to the many questions and queries from our residents and community. You will compile precise customer service requests for action by Council departments, process customer applications and payments. Relevant Council and Customer Service policies, practices, procedures and service standards will be compiled with.
As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll be likely to respond to our Customers either in our Call Centre on the phone, face to face at one of our customer service centres or via one of our multiple customer enquiry channels. You will advocate for our customers as we strive to continuously improve our service.
With experience in customer service, you’re naturally a people person, dedicated to serving others in a professional, warm and respectful manner. Community minded and wanting to serve our community, you will be passionate about supporting our residents and visitors within the Moreton Bay region.
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about customer service, committed to MBRC values and bring your great communication and interpersonal skills to the table every day. Additionally, you will have:
- Well-developed time management skills to achieve proficiency and effectiveness in managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines
- Sound ability to process high work volumes with a high degree of accuracy
- Well versed computer literacy and strong navigation skills
Term: Six (6) month fixed term full-time contract roles/Permanent full-time roles
Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A - Level 2 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement
Salary: $65,262 pa + up to 12% super + leave loading + 9 day fortnight

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of Council’s work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
