We are looking for a Principal Wellbeing Partner to join our People, Culture and Safety (PC&S) team in a 13 month Parental Leave Contract starting in March 2022. Our PC&S team works in partnership with all divisions of Council with a focus on ensuring Council develops the potential of its employees and business to achieve its long-term strategic and operational goals.
About our Opportunity
As our Principal Wellbeing Partner, you will be responsible for leading our health, wellbeing and workplace rehabilitation team. You’ll provide specialist advice to all levels of the organisation to ensure contemporary best practice that aligns with legislative requirements. In addition to leading your team, you will also coach, mentor and professionally develop the wider People, Culture & Safety team, Divisional Managers and Coordinators, in all matters related to team member wellbeing.
You’ll be passionate about all things people and making a difference to their overall health and wellbeing. You will use your superior organisational skills and expertise in health and wellbeing to drive our planned program of works and support your team to deliver quality advice and management of injured workers. You will have extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the understanding and application of relevant frameworks and legislation covering the contemporary workplace. This includes the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. Experience with LGW and/or Self Insurance is beneficial.
Ideally you’ll hold Tertiary qualification in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or similar), Human Resources or Workplace Health & Safety and/or equivalent experience in workplace wellbeing, workers’ compensation and injury management.
Term: Parental Leave Contract until May 2023
Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award Stream A - Level 6 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement
Salary: 110,383 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading 72.5 hour fortnight + 9 day fortnight
