The details:

As the leader of a two person team, you'll spearhead operational surveys of Council's undergrounds infrastructure, focusing on the stormwater drainage network. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• conducting thorough closed circuit television (CCTV) inspections
• identifying defects and necessary rectification works
• performing general labouring tasks as required
• operating CCTV related equipment to detect infrastructure issues

In your role as the crew leader, you'll also be tasked with:

• maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• regularly communicating with various stakeholders, both within and outside the Council 
• developing and reviewing maintenance plans and schedules 

This position requires a blend of technical expertise and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of people. Your work will be crucial in maintaining and improving the Council's underground asset network.

About you

Ideally your application will have demonstrated experience in conducting inspections on similar infrastructure, using CCTV inspection equipment and some experience leading people. You should possess strong administrative skills, including proficiency in relevant software programs and apps, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture

In addition to the aforementioned skills and experience, you will also need to have:

• a current truck licence (minimum MR class - medium rigid) 
• a construction induction card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) 
• current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) 
• a traffic management implementation licence or equivalent (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) 
• a confined space entry certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) 

Having a Certificate III in Civil Construction or a similar qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable. However this qualification is essential for advancing through the Crew Leader Framework.
