  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • From $86,815 pa up to  $94,415 pa+ 12% super
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A,) - From Level 4 to Level 5 of EBA5
    The appointed wage level will be dependent upon the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications. 
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

As our Senior Cadastral Survey Technician you will complete cadastral survey activities for the planning, design and construction of council’s infrastructure to ensure departmental objectives and project outcomes are achieved.

You will have the opportunity to; 

  • perform and complete cadastral surveys in accordance with relevant legislation and council’s policies and procedures
  • operate specialised surveying instruments including GPS/GNSS, Total Station and Automatic Level
  • undertake a range of survey activities utilising specialised surveying CAD software applications, such as 12D, AutoCad and SurvaCad.

About you

We are seeking someone with experience of geodetic, leasing and cadastral surveys, and application of relevant legislation and statutory requirements. We work in a close knit team and are looking for someone who has a collaborative approach. 

You will have;

  • demonstrated mathematical skills to undertake moderately complex data calculations and reinstatements
  • proficiency in the use of survey equipment, instruments and specialised survey CAD systems
  • excellent time management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines

You will have an Associate Degree or Degree in Spatial Science Technology (Surveying) or equivalent or demonstrated relevant experience. The role requires registration with the Surveyors Board of QLD. You will have a Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years and a Current C class driver’s licence.
