This role sits within our Asset Maintenance department. The Asset Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and renewal of Council’s assets throughout the region. The areas of responsibility are primarily Roads and Drains, Parks, Cleansing, Construction, Fleet and Building and Facilities infrastructure. The Asset Maintenance department is one of the largest departments within Council, maintaining essential community infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region.
The responsibilities of this position include undertaking a range of labouring duties across a suite of asset maintenance projects to support the delivery outputs while building solid working relationships.
Typically working within small crews, lead by a crew leader - our natural areas labourers are maintaining the region’s natural area environments. The tasks and duties of this position will involve manual handling/labouring tasks, driving a 4WD vehicle, operating an ATV and operating other relevant plant and equipment while carrying out general vegetation maintenance in natural area environments.
To be successful in this role you will have experience working within a similar role or a similar role requiring a similar skill set. You must also hold a current MR class driver's license and a Construction Induction card.

Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the Moreton Bay Regional Council EBA4 Certified Agreement
Remuneration: $58,508 pa + super (76 hour fortnight) + applicable allowances
