About our opportunity
We are seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated University Student to work in our dedicated Sport and Recreation Programs Team.
Our team aims to build connected, creative, healthy and active local communities and enhance the lifestyle that residents of the Moreton Bay Region enjoy. This is achieved through the provision of support to community organisations; delivery of activities for residents; provision of community meeting and activity spaces; development of polices and plans; provision of early education services and participation in Council’s response to, and recovery from disaster events.
Working alongside professionals in this field, you will gain some great knowledge in the area of your studies as you assist the team to deliver our Healthy & Active Moreton and Active Holidays programs.
About you
You will be an avid learner with a passion for your field of study and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with well-developed communication and literacy skills.
As a University Student, you will be a valued team member who provides general administrative and project support and assistance to the team.
You will be currently enrolled in relevant university studies and be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday to Friday).
We are looking for students who are currently studying the following (or similar) and have a passion for public health/health promotion:
- Bachelor of Health Science (Health Promotion/Public Health/Human Movement)
- Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science
- Bachelor of Recreation Studies
- Bachelor of Sport Development
- Bachelor of Business (Sport Management)
