  • 9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Location: Caboolture

Join City of Moreton Bay as an Environment Officer and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As an Environment Officer you will investigate, manage and report of environmental related matters, liaising with residents’ stakeholders and government agencies as required. You will also

  • regularly monitor fauna, flora and waterways to measure and analyse ecological health and biodiversity
  • deliver and promote on ground environmental programs and projects
  • provide general advice and assistance regarding native fauna and flora matters to residents, community groups and other Council departments

To be successful in this role you will have significant interpersonal and communications skills, enabling you to converse with a range of internal and external stakeholders about environmental matters.

About you

You will have a passion for working in the field and be comfortable working remotely across our vast region in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

You will have good knowledge of native flora and fauna as well as pest species within the Moreton Bay Region. Ideally, you will have experience in delivering environment-related programs and projects that analyse the health and biodiversity values of the environment.
