About our opportunity

Join City of Moreton Bay as an Asset Maintenance Officer, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

With many sites across the City of Moreton Bay to service and maintain, our Asset Maintenance Officers lead the scoping and delivery of day to day operational maintenance services, for planned and reactive works, as well as contributing to the development of capital and operational projects. You'll also be:

  • Handling procurement of contracted services, and assessing and reporting on the safety and performance 
  • Carrying out inspections, ensuring safe, effective and efficient customer focused outcomes 
  • Participating in an on-call roster, having responsibility for after-hours call out on council buildings and facilities.

Our current vacancy is for a permanent role based at Strathpine.

From time to time we have permanent and maximum term contract opportunities at sites across the region in Strathpine, Caboolture, Margate and Narangba. About you

We're looking for your trades experience obtained in the building, mechanical or electrical building services, and skills creating concise scopes of work, along with identifying works for escalation to senior team members. You'll also bring:

  • Experience delivering operational maintenance services in a fast-paced customer focused environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and maintenance management systems
  • Ability to contribute to the team and the delivering quality customer service
  • Trade qualified in a relevant building trade skill (required)
  • Current C class driver’s licence (required)
  • Construction Induction Card competency (required or willing to obtain).
