City of Moreton Bay is growing its technical production team at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre (REC)!! REC is a dynamic performing arts venue hosting events for more than 400 patrons, seven days a week. We are currently recruiting for two exciting opportunities:
- Senior Theatre Technician – Permanent Part Time
- Theatre Technician – Casual
About the roles:
Both positions play a key part in delivering high‑quality productions and events at the REC. In these roles, you will:
- Provide technical services across lighting, audio, AV and projection
- Operate, set up and maintain technical equipment
- Support hirers to meet their production and technical requirements
- Contribute to a safe, professional and customer‑focused environment
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support community arts engagement
The Senior Theatre Technician will also:
- Lead and guide the technical team
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical advice across all technical systems
Night and weekend work may be required as part of a rotating roster.

About you
You bring experience in theatrical technical services, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. You’re organised, safety‑focused and confident working with a range of technical systems.
You also hold:
- A current C class driver’s licence
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- Eligibility for a Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
