Your responsibilities will include managing tasks and complex projects to achieve performance outcomes and contribute to the strategic direction and vision of the division. You will partner and foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate major projects and key policy reform within a customer focused culture within the team and represent Council at a range of customer meetings, community and business forums.
To be successful in this role you must possess a degree in urban design, landscape architecture or another relevant field and comprehensive knowledge of planning, urban design and place-making processes, including the Planning Act 2016, SEQ Regional Plan, Council local laws and policies, or the ability to quickly acquire this information. You will have experience utilising high level of judgment, conceptual and analytical skills in formulating, applying and adapting policies, using strategic approaches to achieve desired community outcomes.
This role with Council offers excellent working conditions, generous employer funded superannuation benefits (up to 12%) and a 9 day fortnight in addition to four weeks paid annual leave per year. Council’s work locations have local parking.
Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
