Term: Maximum Term Part Time - duration of studies

Award/Level: Qld Local Government Industry Award - Level 1

Location: Petrie

Package: $30.98 per hour, Up to 12% superannuation, Leave loading, 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata)

 

Please Note: 

  • Must be available to work 3-5 days per week (Monday to Friday) during university semesters 1 and 2 and full time outside of those semesters and during the university semester breaks.  
  • You will indicate throughout the application process if your preference is to work 3, 4 or 5 days/week during semester.
  • Must be currently enrolled in university to apply

The Buildings and Facilities Team in the Asset Maintenance Department have a current opportunity! More about the department listed below: 

The Asset Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and renewal of Council’s assets throughout the region. Within the Asset Maintenance department sits a Building and Facilities team that is responsible primarily to effectively deliver a range of day to day operations, maintenance programmes, and capital work across the Council’s buildings and facilities. The Asset Maintenance department is one of the largest departments within Council, maintaining essential community infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region.  Building and Facilities provides an opportunity to learn Council Processes and asset maintenance functions.  The successful applicant will be assisting with contracts and contractor management, minor maintenance projects, design reviews, maintenance investigations and stakeholder management as well as carrying out other activities associated with Council’s buildings and facilities as required.

Your studies will ideally align with a career in this progressive and innovative industry, you will ideally be studying a mechanical engineering degree or another mechanical related discipline.
