  • $77,551pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • 9 day fortnight
  • Strathpine location

About our opportunity

As the Rates and Property Lead, you will be a key source of knowledge for the team and play an important role in mentoring and building on the capabilities and skills within. You will provide leadership and motivation, facilitating continuous improvement with an efficient and cooperative team approach.

This senior role in the team will drive the accurate and timely completion of rating and property functions including:

  • Ensuring Council’s rating policy is administered in a fair and equitable manner;
  • Accurate and timely maintenance of the rating and property database;
  • Testing of new version releases before implementation;
  • Generate and issue periodic rate notices;
  • Prepare complex reports and reconciliations; and
  • Liaise with internal and external customers, providing sound advice.

About you

Ideally you have experience in a rating and property services role and have the enthusiasm to take on this exciting opportunity within our team.  You will be an people person, genuinely interested in mentoring and driving change. Your exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills will help us deliver the accurate and timely services we strive for.

In addition, you will be:   

  • experienced in understanding the application of Acts and legislation covering the contemporary workplace;
  • proficient with the Microsoft Office suite; and
  • have the ability to quickly become up to speed with the specific systems used in Council (TechnologyOne)
