We have 3 BRAND NEW Group Executive Officer opportunities, supporting our newly appointed Executive General Managers across our three key functional groups:
- City Administration - Strathpine base
- City Operations - Narangba base
- City Futures - Strathpine base
As a Group Executive Officer you will lead high level executive and business support to the Executive General Manager (EGM) and other senior leaders across the Group.
This is an opportunity to join the team in the early formation stages of our added functional group level of our structure. A chance to lead the coordination, ongoing delivery, review and continuous improvement of administrative services and corporate governance processes to support the achievement of Group strategic objectives and outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to:
- lead and manage the day to day operations of the Office of the EGM including provision of high-level executive and stakeholder engagement support, and coordination of strategic priorities and critical activities.
- lead the allocation and management of work to Executive Assistants and Senior Executive Support Officers across the Group to ensure the delivery of high-level and confidential executive and business support to the EGM and senior leaders.
- lead the strategic coordination of the Group’s operational and departmental planning, and support the preparation and analysis of departmental budgets, operational plans and quarterly reporting.
- liaise with Councillors, officers, community representatives, business groups, State and Federal MP’s offices and members of the public, using a high degree of judgement, initiative and confidentiality.

About you
We are seeking someone with extensive experience in providing and managing high level executive and business support to executive and senior leaders in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment.
This is a role that requires exceptional professional judgement, initiative and confidentiality as you are privy to matters that can be of a sensitive or political nature.
You will have the ability to apply critical thinking, reasoning, evaluation and decision-making within a broad framework.
We are looking for excellent standards of accuracy and experience coordinating the research and investigation of matters, with strong attention to detail in producing findings and reports in a politically sensitive environment.
You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience working across a wide range of groups such as Councillors, officers, community representatives, business groups, State and Federal MP’s offices and members of the public, using a high degree of judgement, initiative and confidentiality.
