Your responsibilities will include maintain Council’s environmental centres, associated facilities and displays focusing on safety, innovation and alignment with Councils’ environmental objectives. You will develop, maintain and coordinate a network of volunteers ensuring ongoing recruitment, engagement, resourcing and training to conduct tours of the centre and associated environmental education initiatives for visitors, schools and community groups.
To be successful in this role you must possess or be willing to obtain Blue Card Services, Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate and experience in environmental centre management including working in a customer focused environment. You will have demonstrated experience in recruitment, training and co-ordinating volunteers.
This role with Council offers excellent working conditions, generous employer funded superannuation benefits (up to 12%) and a 9 day fortnight in addition to four weeks paid annual leave per year.
Council’s work locations have local parking.
Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
