  • $83,879 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of EBA5
    9 day fortnight
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid environment, including working in the office, from home and on site
  • Location: Strathpine

About our opportunity

The Innovation Team, within our Asset Management department, is building internal artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capability and improving business processes with innovative solutions across Council. 

As our Project Officer you'll be providing technical input and project support for the delivery of new technology and innovation initiatives. You'll be working with stakeholders across council, providing technical advice and support, assisting with equipment selection and in-field, testing training, and collaborating on continuous improvement.

You'll also be providing project support including:

  • pilot and business case development
  • developing interactive reporting
  • data validation
  • business process refinement
  • equipment/product selection and procurement
  • physical deployment of equipment and training.

About you

Bring your well developed knowledge of artificial intelligence platforms and machine learning development, experience in business process improvement and system implementation, and ability to identify and support opportunities for innovation.

Use your strong time management skills to successfully manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines, excellent people and relationship management skills to contribute to our positive team environment, and high attention to detail to accurately work with large volumes of data. 

You'll also have:

  • C class driver's license (required)
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or demonstrated relevant experience.
