The details:

  • Work part time - 2 to 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), depending on what suits your study needs
  • Appointment will be for the duration of your undergraduate studies.
  • $34.68 per hour + 12% super
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 1 of EBA5

We are seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated University Student to work in our Stormwater Infrastructure team!

With an area of over 2,000 square kilometres and 94 suburbs, we span the coastal area north of the Brisbane CBD from the mountains to the sea and Bribie Island. We have all land uses from natural mountain ecosystems to industrial and commercial, rural residential and urban. We have the most amazing waterways and this is your opportunity to work in a passionate team that helps keep them in the best condition possible.

Working alongside professionals in this field, you will gain some great knowledge in the area of your studies as you assist the team in working on a projects with regards to water quality and quantity of the stormwater in nearly a thousand lakes, wetlands, bio-basins and other water bodies, over 2,400 kilometres of piped stormwater systems and more than 900 km of creeks and rivers.

You will be currently enrolled in relevant university studies and be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday to Friday).

Relevant studies will ideally be in Civil or Environmental engineering and you will have a passion to work within a highly dynamic and talented team who will support and mentor you in this early stage of your career.
